@phatray Well I have a 91 jetta and also a 2002 with the 1.8t engine in it. Other than the basic maintenance nothing has ever gone wrong, and I drive my car hard. With the 1.8t it's a good idea to change the timing belt close to 120k KM because they tend to snap prematurely. Im also in Canada and live? in Ottawa, they have the best VW (imo) garage out there, its called Tapp Auto. Chris Tapp has his own computer patient on this engine under the name Eurodyne. Id buy VW over Honda any day, peace

@TrueXile420 i drive a 92 civic which i bought for 800cdn lol...my gas is around 8.5L/100km? it aint bad when compared with the ballin bmws my friends drive....but yea one question , how bad is the reliability of the vw?? interested in the new jetta cause its 1,6000 (within budget) lol

@phatray are you saying my 91 jetta was expensive lol? and i? still drive it as my winter car, its a TDI. How much do you spend on gas? Best part is im in the heating business and can run furnace oil (colored diesel) that I pump out into the car. Ill keep my euros thanks.
